lyrics
A maze full of mirrors and lightning
A bag of bones and jewelry
My head is sinking in the hands
Of a riddle master
The TV is diving through me
All stories born and sold
The walls are closing in
The light is all fading out
What happened to my mind?
What happened to my mind?
What happened to you?
When I left you alone
No songs left to be sung for you
What happened to my mind?
I sent you down the river
The night has come and
Turned me to stone
The streets keep on going by
These flashing lights and dancing nights
And purifying bitter lies
Are rising up and up into
The head of a riddle master
What happened to my mind?
What happened to my mind?
What happened to you?
When I left you alone
No songs left to be sung for you
What happened to my mind?
I sent you down the river
The night has come and
Turned me to stone
What happened to my mind
When I saw you soldier on
In your solitude
What happened to you?
What happened to you?
The world keeps on turning
Did you know?
I'm already mended
Did you know?
So far from you
What did you do?

Honestly, I hated this band when I first heard their Metal Blade Records debut; I thought the riffs were cool, but the vocals weren't my thing. All that has changed upon hearing this fantastic album, and it's now in daily rotation. Everything about this album is above par, and the vocals are one of the best elements of the group now. If you don't add this to your collection, then you're crazier than I am 😂 Tom's Reviews
Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021

"111" is the culmination of Zeppelin meets Sabbath. Instant familiarity met with a new twist and turn around every corner making everything feel like a fresh conjuring of heavy riffage and psychedelic nostalgia. Listening to "111" is like hiking one of your favorite trails that you haven't seen in a while. You know the turns in the road but the plant life has evolved significantly since you were last there. Cheers! Jake Navarra
